Big Brother 2014: Day 5

It's nomination day, which is a good way to get a deeper look into the house dynamics.

Everyone wakes up a little hung over, especially Tamara.

Marlon walks around the garden with his hand down his pants, okie dokie.

Helen and Dani are walking around with their tits practically hanging out. I approve.

Apparently Dani once dated Dexter from last season. She tells everyone about this while adjusting her bikini top and making sure her boobs don't fall out.

Mark thinks he's psychic and can read people. I find this claim to be rather dubious.

Nomination time!!

Dani nominates Matthew because she thinks he's sneaky and argumentative. He thinks he's better than everyone and false. Her next nom is Steven because he's a bit crude and disrespectful, he talks about vaginas and boobs too much. Meanwhile her tits are hanging out.

Jale and Chris have a discussion about feeling a bit separated from the house.

Matthew nominates Dani because he thinks she separates herself from the group too much. Next he nominates Jale because she apparently rolled her eyes at Pauline the first night and he thinks she may have a temper and could blow up soon.

Toya nominates Marlon because he walked around holding his dick all morning, lol. Next she nominates Christopher because yesterday he moaned a bit when Pauline took Mark and Helen to lunch even though they'd already gotten a reward but he didn't say it to Pauline directly.

Christopher nominates Dani because he thinks she's holding back and excluding herself and talking about her beliefs. I dunno, seems to me she talks about it all the time, people just don't wanna deal with. Next he nominates Matthew because he's trying to work out everyone and figure out how he can take advantage. That one surprises me.

Helen nominates Jale because she rolled her eyes at Pauline. Next she picks Ashleigh because she doesn't have much in common with her and she's too reserved.

Kimberly nominates Tamara because she's not very deep and tends to ignore people, finds her a bit rude. Next is Ash because he's a bit too arrogant. A bit surprised by those revelations, but it's nice to get a look into peoples mindsets.

Pauline is cooking soup and tells Jalene not to take so much. She's joking but Jale doesn't see the joke.

Marlon nominates Toya because she doesn't seem interested in learning about him, feels a bit ignored when he talks to her. Next he nominates Mark because he's demanding and will kick off if he doesn't get his way.

Tamara and Winston have a chat while they lay in the garden in their swimsuits. They talk about relationships and what no. They're gonna fuck, I just know it.

Chris is up next and he nominates Tamara because she's happy to lay around and be protected by her circle of friends. Next is Winston. Say's he's nice but he plays to the cameras too much and it makes conversations hard.

There a couple of groups in the garden. Chris is wondering if the packs form because they're friends or each others competition. Sweet lord Tamaras ass is splendid.

Mark nominates Kimberly because she can be dismissive and makes people feel silly. Next is Jale, he has trouble pronouncing her name, lol. He says it's mainly over the chicken thing. He annoys me.

Tamara nominates Jale because of the chicken incident. For fuck sakes, this chicken incident is getting a lot of play. Says Jale is rude and she doesn't like rudeness, which is a little rich coming from her. Then it's Kimberly because she rolls her eyes a lot and she finds her snooty.

Tamara, Helen and Mark are talking about the chicken incident and slagging Jale.

Jale and Toya are talking about Pauline and Toya tells her not to say anything in front of Marlon. She suggests Jale go to Pauline and talk to her.

Winston is up next and he nominates Marlon because he feels awkward around him, thinks that Marlon may be acting overly nice and he thinks he can see through him. Next is Danielle because she seems miserable and mopes about even though they've had good conversations.

Ash puts up Danielle because he's tried to make conversation with her but they haven't gone anywhere and she seems guarded and doesn't put in the effort to make friends. Next is Ashleigh because she goes to bed early and is distant from the group. Says she seems pissed off that people are having fun.

Dani, Ashleigh and Kimberly are in the kitchen, they say they feel like they only have each other.

Matthew and Tamara talk about Jale, Tamara says she seems a bit thick, lolol.

Jale nominates Steven because she feels uncomfortable around him and that he's not being real. Tamara is next because she doesn't talk to people unless her group isn't around.

Ashleigh nominates Tamara because she puts no effort into getting to know her. Says she only talked to her when nominations were announced and then went back to ignoring her. Next is Winston because she finds it hard to talk to him because he tries to be too funny.

Steven nominates Jale because she talked about how people shouldn't piss her off and that she probably wont react well to being crossed. Next is Chris because of his VT, even though he hasn't done any of the dumb things he said would do.

The final total is Jale with 5, Danielle and Tamara with 4, so all three of them are up. Sweet lord please let Jale go home.

Jale, Ashleigh and Christopher are in the kitchen and Jale says she feels she's being knocked back a lot. All 3 of them say they feel like they get shouted down and talked over a lot.

Steven says all the original 10 bonded but when the 6 came in it all changed. Matthew says only Danielle didn't feel good in the first group and then latched onto the newbies. Thinks that she separated the two groups by doing that. Helen flat out says she doesn't like Jale. The dynamics are becoming very clear.

Chris and Danielle talk in the bedroom about how hard it's been. They both say that if they knew how hard it would be in the house they wouldn't have come in.

Matthew and Jale have a talk and he asks he if she feels like she's been misunderstood. She says yes but doesn't why. She says people have distanced themselves from her. She thinks it's mostly the girls.

A large group is in the garden and they start talking about porn and sex and of course Dani and Ashleigh leave in a huff, hehehehe. They go into the kitchen with Kimberly and complain about how everyone wants to talk about sex.

Later Pauline tells Dani not to get upset over every little thing. Dani breaks down and Marlon tries to comfort her.

In the bedroom Tamara complains about Dani walking off all the time. Christopher says that she's not used to people talking about sex all the time and Tamara exclaims "she's a glamour model!", which is quite true.

Argggh, we get a tease but no reveal of Paulines killer nomination. Guess we'll have to wait till tomorrow.

Roll credits.

Really fun show today which showed the clear sides developing. Dani, Kimberly & Ashleigh on group, the pervert patrol in the other group, Jale is seperate from everyone and there are quite a few floaters it seems. This is shaping up quite nicely.

Speaking of shapes, Dani and Tamara may be on different sides, but if they keep hanging around with their boobs and butts hanging out they're both winners in my book. Jale, even though I don't hate her, has to go home. That's just how it's gotta be.

Big Brother 2014: Day 4

Strong episode today that really sewed some seeds. And by the by, I'll now be referring to the first Chris as Christopher and the second Chris as just Chris.

Pauline got to have a special lunch with 3 people, she chose Mark, Helen and Danielle. Dani felt shunned by Helen.

The task for the day was Christopher and Pauline watching the rest of the house line up according to what character trait they were given by BB, then Pauline & Christopher had to guess the trait. For instance, if the trait was Money Hungry, the group would have to line up from least to most. This was rife for some bickering but apparently there wasn't any. They won the task and got A nice dinner. Pauline also got to have a party with the 3 people from lunch and 4 more. She chose Stephen, Matthew, Christopher and Winston.

Matthews dry wit is winning people over who were initially leery of him.

Danielle continues to bitch and moan. I believe she used the word classy about 15 times in a single conversation. Her and Kimberly had a discussion on the church and gay marriage that ended with Kimberly just walking away. Odd, those conversations usually go so well.

The newbies feel like they're having trouble assimilating, especially Marlon and Jale. There does appear to be a definite divide.

Tamara, looking sexy as all get out, got into the bathtub with Winston and they did some flirting. His teeth really make him look quite the doofy sort.

Helen and Chris made up as each one explained their side of things.

Danielle & Ashleigh sat around watching everyone have fun and looked like the loneliest kids you've ever seen.

Tamara got wasted and had to be carried to bed like a dead fish. Danielle, surprisingly, did not approve.

The show ended with Christopher in the DR saying that he doesn't think the main group can stay together very long because of the egos involved. I bet he's right.

My final thoughts are thus. Pauline is clearly building an alliance of originals while the newbies and Danielle sort of build one of their own. Now the only question is, how long before both alliances come tumbling down? Oh, and how long before Tamara gets her tits out. That too.

Big Brother 2014: Day 3

This was the episode where someone comes into the house, then breaks down because the house is exactly what you'd expect. In this case it's Dani, who can't handle the sex talk or the swearing. Seriously? You come into BB house and you get upset because people are cussing and talking about sex? For the love of Moses. Matthew and Mark and Kimberly try and ease her pain.

Helen got pregnant at 15, she might have had an abortion, I couldn't really make out what she said. Tamara and Winston have a flirty conversation and it seems like it might go somewhere. Steve tries to have a flirty conversation with Kimberly and he just comes across as smarmy.

Now we see the new housemates entering except we see more of Paulines reactions. She doesn't like Toyas tutu, she doesn't like Chris, perhaps taking his obviously sarcastic VT too serious. She thinks Ashleigh is a diva and a brat and notices how smitten Steven is with her. She literally puts her head in her hands when Marlon talks about his alter ego. LOL, When Jale says she finds it hard to live with people, Pauline says "then why are you here then"?

We see the part from yesterdays live show where Helen finds out Pauline has given her a pass to the finals. Kind of disappointed that we didn't really see much interaction between them to explain the decision. Maybe there wasn't any, I dunno. Pauline is crying tears of joy, Helen is crying tears of joy, tears of joy all around but as a viewer there really wasn't enough build to get too invested in their joy.

Pauline gossips with Tamara about the VT's she saw of the newbies. She slags on Chris and Jale and they have a laugh over Marlon and his alter ego. She says Ash was the most honest one.

Marlon and Winston talk about the girls and they act like a couple of hounds surrounded by steaks.

Helen is in the DR talking about being in the finals. She's excited that her son is watching, so I guess she had the kid. Says she likes Ashleigh and Chris 2 from the newbies.

Helen and Tamara are talking about how Jale and slagging her, heh. Chris 2 joins in and he says it's OK to be fake sometimes. Helen disagrees and they clash over whether it's OK to be fake or not. Man, he's awkward.

Dani and Chris 2 are chatting, she once again proclaims how lady like she is. This girl is a 1 note strumpet.

Ashleigh is in the DR, she's worried that she's too young to get along with the girls and that maybe they've already bonded.

Helen and Tamara are in the bathroom slagging on Chris 2 and Jale, I think Helen called her a slug, lol.

Mark and Toya hide in the bathroom and scare Chris 1, fun times.

Chris 2 is in the DR and he seems a little lost. Not sure he's cut out for this. Doesn't know who he's gonna sleep with and is a little worried about not fitting in.

Winston and Steven are having a laugh about Chris 2 because apparently Pauline told everyone that in his VT he said he was gonna piss in the sink and cuss everyone out. I mean, yeah he said it, but he was clearly putting on an act. As far as the VT's go his was not nearly as rude or offensive as a lot of others because he was clearly joking around. I don't think she got that, and it's kind of shitty that she's slagging him off to everyone about it. But then again, he said it so he's gotta own it at some point.

Chris 2 is looking for a bed mate and no one seems in too much of a rush to take him in until Chris 1 does. He lays down and looks like a god damned lonely puppy. Poor bastard. Roll credits.

An OK show. The Dani stuff was a little aggravating, but whatever. The seeds are being set for a house vs Chris 2 scenario but I'm willing to bet he talks himself out of it and comes out the other side in tact. We shall see.

Big Brother 2014: Day 2

Today we get introduced to 6 new housemates and some new twists, but first a recap and some new footage from last night after we went off the air.

After the prize and punishment are handed out there's a lot of mingling in the garden. Matthew seems OK with what's happened even though he's stuck up in the air in a pod.

Pauline and Mark seem like people but the idea that they're bonding of how great a human being Mariah Carey is is just fucking vapid and makes my brain hurt.

Winston and Steven are talking about girls, they're clearly both on the hunt.

Tamara, Mark and Danielle are talking to poor Matt up in the pod but he tells them to go inside since it's cold out there. Danielle is the only one who stays and they have a nice convo. He say's people find him pretentious, she says she loves pretentious people. She says she's not connected with two people in the house and Tamara is one of them. Rawr kitty, rawrr! That could be fun.

The girls are upset with the way their pictures on the wall look. Christopher is in the DR. I dunno, he seems more annoying the more and more I see him. That everyman thing is going out the window, the way he talks is a bit irritating.

Pauline tells Matt why she chose him, she says she used to be judgmental of people but in her line of work she had to get used to working with all different types of people. They had a nice convo and seemed to be getting along ok.

Helen says someone pissed all over the toilet. Chris fesses up that it might have been him and he'll clean it up, all is well.

Tamara is in the DR she says she likes Helen and is into Winston because he type is good looking and stupid, lol. She says Kimberly and Danielle are boring.

Meanwhile, Kimberly is talking to Dani, Winston & Chris about her modeling and how she's not just a playboy girl.

Dani & Winston are getting along on the couch in the garden talking about his job, which is stock trading. She seems flirty and he seems nervous, heh.

Mark says he's afraid of Whales. Jesus Christ.

Steven is talking to Matthew who says he's ok being in the pod. Kimberly comes out and her and Steven start talking. He boasts about the number of countries he's visited, she tells him she's a Playboy model but she's going to get into glamor modeling. Sure ya are. Both of these people are so into themselves, they're perfect for each other. She says she's dating but nothing serious. Matt is taking it all in.

Back inside it's 3am and people are starting to turn in. Pauline is in the DR, says she feels a little bad for Matthew. Says she's glad that the housemates don't realize she still has power and she's happy about that.

Pauline is back in the control room live. Pauline, she's told that she'll now watch 6 new housemates enter the house. Once the final housemate is in, she'll get to decide which one of the 15 housemates gets a pass to the final. Hmmm, don't think I like this twist much at all. Now it's time to meet the newbies.

Toya, 29, is a black girl, a TV presenter. She doesn't like drama, then proceeds to talk about dating men who had girlfriends already or had paternity tests pending. She seems kind of fun even though her VT is the usual harder edged stuff. She's wearing some insane hoop skirt when she comes out for the interview. I can't tell whether she's fun or annoying. It's hard to tell because they pretty much take all the confrontational, spouty shit for all the VT's so they all sound the same, which is stupid.

Chris is 33, an actor. He likes to joke and doesn't have an ego. He comes across as very down to earth but may be trying a bit too hard to be funny. Still, I like him. Crowd boos when he comes out and I have no idea why. Ha, he asks Emma for a kiss goodbye when he goes into the house. Ok, this dude is funny, he basically said all the bad things he said in his VT was a lie. He's awesome, he reminds me of the twins from last year, but with more personality. He's immediately my pick for the bye to the finals because I can't imagine he'd do anything to get evicted anyway.

18 Year old Ashleigh is an Irish girl. Sweet lord she's wearing a glorious outfit. Jesus Christ, she's a model too, what the fuck is it with this show. She's cute and bubbly, wonderful curly long blonde hair. I like her, for a lot of reasons. Says in her interview she has a boyfriend. Doesn't look nearly as good with straight her, kind of mongy actually. I'm all confused now. Seems like a down home girl. She'll probably clash with a lot of the other women in there. Steven looks smitten with her as she walks into the house, heh. Pauline seems overly aggravated with her, not sure why.

Marlon is 22, he loves the ladies, everything about them. He works at an optometrist. Says he has an alter ego. Looks kind of geeky. Again, the VT makes it hard to get a read on the real him. Apparently his alter egos name is Marlicio Silver. WTF. I dunno, still can't get a read on him but he seems a bit of a skeezer. Appears shallow but I think there's more to him, we'll see.

Next up is Ash, he's 26 and get this, he's a model. This is just getting stupid now. Says he's lazy and he's never had to work hard in his life. He's a good looking guy. Claims to rarely get turned down by the ladies. He is handsome. Pauline says she likes him the best so far.

And lastly we have 33 year Jale. She's a bit of a hefty girl but doesn't like people who eat in public. Says she has trouble living with people. She's rather annoying and boastful. God dammit, she comes out in a red dress doing the complete silly fat girl schtick. Ughhh. Says biting her tongue will be hard in the house. A crude, boisterous fat girl, we've never seen that on BB before.

Now it's time for Pauline to decide who gets a pass to the final. She picks Helen to go to the final, ughhh why! Now we're live in the house, BB calls everyone to the garden. I bet there's a swerve coming. BB announces that Pauline has chosen to change someones life forever. He announces Helen and tells her to go into the pod. She gets the good news and glitter and confeti drop. Everyone seems happy for her. BB tells Pauline that in 48 hours she'll have the power to change someones life again. LOL, the power is that she'll be able to pick one person to go up for nomination every week they're in the house. These are a couple of pretty insane twists so early in the game. Pauline returns from the control room and her and Helen have a big hug and shed some tears. It's a pretty genuine and nice moment.

Not a bad 2nd show but the newbies are pretty much right out of central casting from the previous seasons and I don't know if I like one person having control of what are pretty damn big twists in the game, but oh well.

Big Brother 2014: Day 1

The house is updated to look more futuristic but really not much about the layout has changed at all. It doesn't look brand new, it just looks like everything has been replaced by a bad sci fi set. Bedroom is tinier though, so that should make for some interesting happenings.

Our first housemate is Tamara, A 24 year old, blonde, oil headhunter, whatever the fuck that is. She's smoking and isn't afraid to dress like she knows it. Hates woman who just want to be housewives, finds men disposable. She likes to be in control and pull peoples strings. I enjoy looking at her, that's enough for now even if she seems like a bit of a cunt. I think the crowd is booing her but the fucking music is blasting over the reactions. You can tell from her interview that she's putting on a bit of an act. I bet she's a lot more personable than her intro video is making her out to be. She's walks into the house, boobs a jiggling, and is blown away by the house. Heh, she lets out a "fuck" as she looks around. Seems a bit too excited.

Next up is Mark, he's 24, Indian I think, gay I think. Gets his hair, face and nails done constantly. Very fem. His hero is Mariah Carey. Yeah, he's gay. He's very opinionated but tries not to be nasty. He looks like a short, portly, hindu George Micheal. Again, he comes across in his video as more of a tool than he actually seems in his interview. Looks flustered a bit during the interview. I can totally see this dude being broke down at some point. He checks his face in the mirror as soon as he enters the house. Tamara almost pees herself with excitement when she sees someone else enter the house.

Back from the break they talk about how 1 of the roommates entering the house tonight will be given the power to control the house, the public has to vote during the show who gets the power. I like that twist.

Helen is up next, she's nice looking. Apparently she's semi famous for fucking a celebrity, sweet lord it seems all they do over there is fuck. She owns a salon. She likes to argue. She's very attractive in both a traditional and a tomboy way but she also seems sort of plain and boring. She's nervous during her interview. I can imagine her being fodder for the stronger players in the house, not sure she has the personality to pull this off. She seems to get along fine with Mark and Tamara when she enters the house.

Steven is up next, he's 23 and A successful businessman, he wants to be Prime Minister some day. Bit of a braggart but also seems fairly dull. He's like a good looking Dexter. Again, comes across much better in his interview than his video, I'm sensing a theme. For all his bluster he seems really excited to be in the house. He seems like he could be a total heel or a big time baby face but I don't think he'll be boring.

Danielle is up next. She's very religious and has a magnificent body. She thinks she's very moral, doesn't believe in same sex marriage or sex before marriage and all that stuff. Thinks women should be classy but she's a lingerie model. Get's big time boos. Dear lord is her body a work of art. Face is pretty average but it has a cuteness to it. Apparently her plan is to be the morality cop of the house, no smooching. LOL, crowd is booing her big time. She'll definitely be a major character in the house. She seems a little leery of everyone when she enters but she's cordial enough.

Winston, 27 is up next. The first lads lad to enter the house. Pretty boy but looks a bit doofy and acts just as doofy. He likes the ladies whether they're 10's or 9's, heh. I have a feeling he's nicer than your fuck and run kind of guy and could be the darkhorse in the series. He's gonna be in a relationship though, guarantee it. Hopefully it's with a nice girl, if there are any. When he enters the house it appears as if Danielle is quietly judging, or eye fucking him. Hard to tell. He's clearly the crowd favorite so far, although it's not a high bar.

Matthew is 23, he has a girlfriend and he's a brain who likes smart people. Seems like a bit of a tool. People think he's gay but he's not. Well he says he's not. Hard to get a read on him. Jesus, he looks like he's about to pass out during the interview. He seems insanely nervous.

Kimberly is a business woman and model, I'm guessing more model. She has a law degree and a business masters. Has modeled for Playboy. She's very pretty and seems down to earth but says she can be ruthless. The women are initially kind of cold to her when she enters. The hens are gonna be pecking this year, I can feel it.

Chris is 23, an Irish everyman who hates shallow people. Thinks the Kardashians are the spawns of Satan. Is from a family of dairy farmers. Good looking guy. He's intriguing but I need to see more.

The last housemate of the evening is Pauline, a 49 year black dance teacher. Apparently she was featured in a Kylie Minogue song. She seems fun but also could get annoying in that constantly in your face sort of way. She's really good during her live interview.

Now it's time for the public to vote over who to put in charge as we head to commercial.

They elect Pauline, which kind of surprises me but maybe she's more famous than I thought, or maybe she just seems the most normal and down to earth. She's taken to a control room and the rest of the housemates are sent out into the garden where there are 2 giant plexi glass or plastic pods. Back in the control room, Pauline is shown snippets of everyones videos and has to decide who to punish and who to reward. She decides to reward Mark because he said Mariah Carey was his idol, ooofa. She punishes Matthew because he said he doesn't much tolerate people who aren't smart. Seems to me that there were at least a few more better candidates to punish, but whatever. Poor Matthew may end up killing himself before this over.

Mark and Matthew are alerted to each go into a pod. BB announces that Mark has won 5000 pounds and he's right excited. BB then announces that Matthew is being punished so his pod lifts up into the air where he'll have to stay, secluded from the rest of the house, for an indeterminate amount of time. He looks like he'd rather have a knife to his balls than be here, heh. Pauline appologizes to Matthew, although not real earnestly, and that about wraps up the first night.

The cast looks really strong this year. Lots of fit birds and blokes. I can see plenty of sparks flying, both in the bedroom and otherwise. Hyped for tomorrow when 6 more housemates enter and Pauline has some more big decisions to make.

Day 1 Power Ratings
1. Danielle
2. Winston
3. Tamara
4. Kimberly
5. Chris
6. Steven
7. Pauline
8. Helen
9. Matthew
10. Mark

Winston is clearly gonna be fodder for one of the top 3 women. I have Helen so low because I just can't get a read on her yet but I'm feeling she's not going to be as alpha as Dani, Tamara or Kimberly. I hope I'm wrong though because the more the merrier. As for the other men, Chris is most likely to get into something with one of the girls. Steven is not my type but I'm not a lass so I dunno, one of them could latch on to him simply because he's well off. He doesn't come across as all that interesting though. Pauline is clearly more loved by the public than me at this point. It's not that I don't like her, and she will be a good everyman, but she's clearly not going to be involved in any love triangles. She could be the moral compass of the house though. Helen I've touched on, I need to see more from her. Poor Matthew may just end up leaving on his own although the fact that he has a girlfriend could make things more interesting with him if one of the girls takes a fancy to him or he them. Of course he could also end up throwing up and begging to be let out of the house before anything good happens. Mark just annoys me so far but most overly effeminate, affected men annoy me. He does seem like a nice guy though and he and Pauline may just end up hitting it off and becoming the "good guys", so he's got room to move up.
