A good, solid, suspense film, that slowly builds its evil undertones until a pretty good climax and usual M. Night twist that I didn't see coming and thought was pretty good. It's definitely a moralistic fable played out in modern times and on that level I think it's pretty strong.
There is some stuff that's heavy handed, like the Mexican security guard who gets pushed on us a little too strong. and kind of forces the point of the story when it really doesn't need to be. Perhaps a laid back, more organic flowing of the story would have worked better for me, but it's not like it killed it for me.
Solid acting, tense drama, and some scary moments make for a fine film. This Devil is decent.
