Eden Lake: 75 Out Of 100 Stars

British film about a couple going on vacation who are terrorized by a pack of juvenile delinquents.

Very raw and violently explicit film, but that rawness really works in making the story more believable than your run of the mill chase and slash movie.

Most of the kids seem to be in their lower teens although there appear to be 1 or 2 who are slightly older and 1 or 2 who are slightly younger. I'm not sure what sort of reaction there would be to an American version of this film although I suspect that there would be a ton of buzz and nightly news show banter.

Everything is very well done and believable and the idea of kids run amok with parents who just don't give a fuck is touched on wonderfully, especially at the end, which really drove the point home because you can relate to parents like that and know people who would react the exact same way, scarily enough.

A strong film that at times is very hard to watch but all the while engrossing. Check it out.
