I Love You, Man: 84 Out Of 100 Stars

Really strong, if not belly laugh inducing comedy, that turns into a well above average relationship movie despite pretty prototypical characters and reactions.

It took me awhile to accept the Jason Segal character as more than a plot point as at first he struck me as a guy created to exist solely in the realm of this movie for it's own sake, but he overcomes it pretty damn well on his pure presence alone.

In fact, just about every character in this move, while being a fairly stock creation, does an excellent job of evolving into a more three dimensional character, which helps the relationship focus of the film really develop nicely.

Rudd and Segal play off each other wonderfully and I don't think there is a single auxiliary character who doesn't hit a home run which helps the main focus of the film stay grounded. Favreau and Samberg in particular standout.

Probably my favorite movie of this ilk since The 40 Year Old Virgin, not quite as good as that, but worlds better than The Hangover or Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
